Legislation
The Regulation (EU) 2016/424 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 9 March 2016 on cableway installations and repealing Directive 2000/9/EC, applicable as of 21 April 2018, was adopted at the Council meeting in March 2016 and published in the Official Journal L 81 of 31 March 2016.
Mandate
Mandate M/300 in the field of "cableway Installations designed to carry persons". This mandate aims at supporting the standardization in this field and is based on the revised version of the CEN/TC 242 'Safety requirements for passenger transportation by rope' reply to the programming mandate of 1994. A new Standardization Request is under discussion.
