CEN and CENELEC develop standards in the area of solar photovoltaic and thermal energy (i.e. the conversion of solar energy into heat).

CLC/TC 82 'Solar photovoltaic energy systems’, develops standard from the conversion of light to the interfaces to the public grid or users.
