European Standards Adoption
One key objective of CEN and CENELEC international cooperation activities is to provide the opportunity for the adoption of European homegrown standards outside Europe.
To achieve this objective, CEN and CENELEC have developed cooperation frameworks with national standardization organizations around the world giving the opportunity for access to European deliverables, for review and eventually for adoption as national standards.
The CEN and CENELEC Global Outreach Report, released twice a year, provides information on:
- CEN and CENELEC technical alignment with their respective international counterparts, namely ISO (International Standardization Organization) and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission);
- Market access opportunities through technical alignment with national standardization bodies outside Europe and GSO, the Gulf Regional Standardization Organization;
- CEN and CENELEC latest developments in their activities with their international partners;
- An Annex listing CEN and CENELEC international cooperation frameworks with regional and national standardization bodies outside Europe:
