European Standards Adoption
One key objective of CEN and CENELEC international cooperation activities is to provide the opportunity for the adoption of European homegrown standards outside Europe.
To achieve this objective, CEN and CENELEC have developed cooperation frameworks with national standardization organizations around the world giving the opportunity for access to European deliverables, for review and eventually for adoption as national standards.
The number of EN adoptions by CSBs and other foreign standards bodies are reported in CEN CENELEC in figures - Quarterly, in the section ‘Adoption outside CEN CENELEC membership’.
