Promote inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all
SDG 8 focuses on the importance of sustained economic growth and high levels of economic productivity for the creation of well-paid quality jobs and the achievement of global prosperity. The key business themes addressed by SDG 8 are: employment, economic inclusions, non-discrimination, capacity building, availability of a skilled workforce and elimination of forced or compulsory labor. The targets and indicators through 2030 are to improve progressively global resource efficiency in consumption and production, and endeavor to decouple economic growth from environmental degradation; to achieve full and productive employment and decent work for all women and men, including for young people and persons with disabilities, and equal pay for work of equal value and to devise and implement policies to promote sustainable tourism which creates jobs, promotes local culture and products.
