Europe, like other parts of the world, has been hit hard by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. In this context, CEN is preparing a new document presenting guidelines and recommendations for the safe operation and management of fitness centers during an infectious outbreak – now and during future pandemics.
Its development is meant to support Europeans in maintaining their health and to guide the fitness sector in its decision-making so that its facilities are safe to use by both customers and staff.
While countries have developed their own national guidelines to control the spread of the coronavirus, it has become clear that these documents often differ in their application.
