CEN and CENELEC and their Members are fully committed to encouraging and supporting all sectors of society and industry to participate in European standardization work and are willing to collaborate with relevant like-minded organisations all across the board.
At the European level, CEN and CENELEC have built strong partnerships with a wide range of key European organisations, associations and other recognised stakeholders having an interest in European Standardization, willing to cooperate at overall corporate and technical level with CEN and/or CENELEC, and representing particular sectors of industry, as well as societal interests.
In this respect, the CEN and CENELEC General Assemblies last November approved the revised CEN and CENELEC Guide 25 – Edition 3, dedicated to setting the rules for cooperation with European Organisations and other stakeholders.
Guide 25 is key to further strengthening the overall participation of European stakeholders to standardization work for an inclusive European Standardization System, as highlighted in the CEN and CENELEC Strategy 2030, and specifically in its Goal 4. The Guide covers six categories of cooperation within CEN and CENELEC: Partner Organisations, Liaison Organisations, Associated Bodies, European Counsellors, European Institutional Stakeholders and Other Cooperating Organisations.
This revised edition provides clarification on several aspects of the Guide, including the criteria defining the different categories of cooperation, updated language to be gender responsive, and an overall revision of the referenced materials and links.
Are you interested in becoming a cooperating stakeholder of CEN and/or CENELEC? Check out the Guide 25 and see what category would work best for your organization, and feel free to contact the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre at partners@cencenelec.eu for more information.
