CEN and CENELEC welcome the consultation on the New Legislative Framework as a critical development in the joint efforts to build a harmonised Single Market, which encourages the alignment of strategies for and with the use of standardization as a key asset.
The CEN-CENELEC position paper the successes of the New Legislative Framework as a bespoke mechanism for supporting European policies and the European economy. These are supported by examples of what can be achieved together with the European Commission and how to shape our common aims going forward. The NLF is key in achieving the high European ambitions for a digital transformation and sustainable future. CEN and CENELEC welcome the European Commission’s public consultation on the NLF, which is both timely and needed, to see how the NLF could be improved to become a more efficient and consistent tool.
