The Lithuanian Standards Board (LST) has opened a public Portal for draft standards. Together with this, two new databases have been launched – Bibliographic database of Lithuanian standards and other standardisation deliverables and Standard terms database.
The public Portal for draft standards is dedicated to review and comment on draft national (LT), European (CEN, CENELEC, ETSI) and international (ISO, IEC) standards.
All registered stakeholders will be able to:
The portal offers the opportunity to stakeholders not only to follow the latest trends, but also to get involved and contribute to the creation of standards.
Furthermore, in conjunction with the Government of the Republic of Lithuania’s initiative Open data – new opportunities for business and people, LST has released two databases created by Information Society Development Committee that are now published through the portal Open data in Lithuania.

Another important LST database in the Open data in Lithuania portal is the Standard terms database.
After publishing the Bibliographic database of Lithuanian standards and other standardization deliverables, the open data of Standard terms database was complemented with links to standards and clauses with terminology of standard terms.
Sigitas Šiupšinskas, the director of LST, noted that “open data would not only ease access to various information about standards, but also to their validity and renewal observation, enabling to embed of standardization process in organisational activities”.
LST anticipates these different information sources will be helpful not only to Lithuanian people, but also for the global standardization community. For this reason, data is also available in English.
