In SIST, the Slovenian Institute for Standardization, there are two technical boards that direct the technical work in standardization:
The end and the beginning of a new mandate of a Technical Board are important milestones, marking the end of one phase and the beginning of a new period. Previous Technical Boards held their last meeting in April this year. Afterwards, SIST issued a call for nominations to the representatives of the members for new formation of both.
A good number of applications was received, and SIST is delighted are delighted to have brought together recognized experts in their respective areas to serve on the two Technical Boards, who will be able to enrich the work of the body and contribute to the realisation of its goals and the implementation of SIST’s strategy.
The meeting of the Technical Board for the electrotechnical, IT and telecommunication areas (SS-EIT) took place on Thursday, 29th of June 2023. At the meeting, the members of the SS-EIT also elected a new chairman, Mr Alojz Hudobivnik, for a sixth mandate, for a period of four years (2023-2027).
The meeting of the Technical Board for the general area (SS-SPL) took place on Thursday, 6 July 2023. At the same meeting, the members of the SS-SPL elected a new chair, Mr Marjan Japelj, for the sixth mandate for a period of four years (2023-2027). Mr Japelj replaced the former chair, Ms Olga Naglič, which means that Mr Japelj also became a new member of CEN BT.
SIST congratulates them on their election and wishes both Technical Boards success in their work.
