Autumn is just around the corner and SIST, the Slovenian Institute for Standardizatoin, are already working hard to organise a major international event to mark World Standards Day 2023. The event will take place on 16 October 2023 at the Congress Centre Brdo and will be called RAST Conference.
RAST is a Slovenian word which means ‘growth’. Further, it consists of RA (as in ‘razvoj’, meaning development) and ST (as the first two letters in ‘standards’). The main goal of this Conference is to show participants how they can get involved in the development of standards, what the benefits of engaging in standardization are, especially in the early stages of standards development, and how their business can develop and grow with standards.
SIST will be hosting important representatives from the international, European and Slovenian world of standardization and business: among them, Mr Jo Cops, IEC President; Ms Elena Santiago Cid, CEN and CENELEC Director General; and Ms Maitane Olabarria Uzquiano, General Director of SBS.
SIST is looking forward to bringing together many highly esteemed people with expert knowledge to inform Slovenian entrepreneurs and help them become even more competitive in the global market.
