The 28th World Climate Change Conference, COP28, will take place in Dubai from 30 November to 12 December 2023. Representatives of nearly 200 nations will come together to agree on ways to address the climate crisis, such as limiting global temperature rise to 1,5 degrees Celsius, helping vulnerable communities adapt to the effects of climate change, and achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
This year, DIN, the German National Standardization Body, will be at the COP for the first time as an official observer organization with its own delegation.
At COP28, DIN will discuss the role of standardization in climate protection and climate adaption with representatives from politics, business, science and civil society, and hopes to deepen existing partnerships and establish new contacts.
To this end, DIN will be organizing local events on various topics such as hydrogen, sustainable finance and climate adaption together with various partners. All interested parties are cordially invited to attend the events on site or via livestream.
