“RECLAIM "REmanufaCturing and refurbishment LArge Industrial equipMent", is a European project promoting the circular economy with remanufacturing strategies, predictive maintenance and renovation of industrial machinery in various sectors. Over 20 research centers, University and industry representatives from 9 European countries have formed RECLAIM with the aim of providing circular solutions that can help the European manufacturing sector meet future market demands.
The overall goal of this EU funded project is to demonstrate strategies and technologies that enable the re-use of industrial equipment in old, renewed and new factories alike. The project will focus on harnessing digital analytics, the Internet of Things and circular economy strategies to improve predictive maintenance and upgrades.
The CWA, promoting by RECLAIM, will define a methodology that is going to enables a new paradigm for the maintenance of large industrial equipment -specifically in the manufacturing sector- that approaches the end of its design life. The methodology will be based on a systematic assessment of strategies comprised of one or more technical solutions (hardware, software, training, or a mix of those) related to the re-manufacturing or refurbishment of the equipment.
The target group of the CWA are industrial equipment maintenance practitioners concerned with re-manufacturing or refurbishment, public authorities concerned with circular economy models for large industrial equipment, as well as research and development departments in industry and research. More information about the structure, scope and background of the future CWA are available in the draft Project Plan attached.
The kick-off meeting will be held on 1st March 2023 in a hybrid way. People interested to participate in the kick-off meeting can register through an online form.
All interested parties are invited to submit comments on the draft Project Plan using the commenting form below, to the Workshop secretary, Ms Elena MOCCHIO (sviluppo.progetti@uni.com) by February 20th, 2023.
