DIN workshop on insurance standardisation project to implement the EU FIDA regulation

On 28 June 2023, the EU Commission announced a proposal for a EU Regulation on a Framework for Financial Data Access (FIDA).

FIDA postulates the obligation that the data holder shall, upon request from a customer, make available to a data user the customer data for the purposes for which the customer has granted permission to the data user. FIDA also requests that the data holder shall make customer data available to the data user in a format based on generally recognised standards.

The European standardization committee CEN/TC 445 ‘Digital information Interchange in the Insurance Industry’ plans to develop European standards for customer data access and portability in the insurance sector to implement the requirements of FIDA and also the data portability of GDPR Article 20.

CEN/TC 445 wants to discuss this initiative with you as interested stakeholder in the insurance sector and invites you to join the standards development.

The online workshop will take place on 11 June 2024. Download the draft agenda.

Please register with the CEN/TC 445 Secretariat until 7 June 2024 via email to Ms Anja.Choyne@din.de
