The European Commission published three reports from the High-Level Forum on European Standardization’s workstreams: Workstream 7 on Wind Power, Workstream 14 on Data Interoperability, and Workstream 15 on Critical Raw Materials. The three reports include recommendations on standardization in the three different fields and how they can support the relevant sectors across Europe.
The High-Level Forum on European Standardization (HLF) was launched in January 2023, connected to the EU Strategy on Standardization. Its goal is to define priorities for standardization, supporting EU legislation and policies and a green, digital and more resilient Single Market. The work is carried out under different workstreams, some of which have already produced reports or recommendations.
The goals connected to the European green transition require cooperation across sectors and bring new challenges also to wind power renewable energy source standardization. Workstream 7 provided helpful and realistic recommendations to the HLF.
The conclusions and recommendations from Workstream 7 ‘Wind Power’ can be found here.
The European data ecosystem requires both safeguarding the civil rights of our citizens and protecting our technological sovereignty. Workstream 14 brought several recommendations related to enhancing data interoperability trough standardization.
The report from Workstream 14 ‘Data Interoperability’ can be found here.
The EU Critical Raw Materials Act ensures secure and sustainable CRM supply chain. European standards are critical for the efficient and transparent functioning of the market with CRM.
The conclusions and recommendations from Workstream 15 ‘Critical Raw Materials’ can be found here.
More conclusions from the other HLF workstreams are expected in the upcoming months. We will publish regular updates on our webpage.
