The 26th Energy Days took place at the Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož, Slovenia, on 16 and 17 April. The energy conference, entitled "How to achieve a new, breakthrough industrial strategy in Slovenia", focused on energy and material efficiency, new resources and technologies.
The two-day event was considered the central meeting point for energy experts and managers from Slovenian companies, research institutions and those operating on the principle of energy efficiency. Around 150 representatives of various companies attended the conference.
SIST was a partner of the event. Together with SIST’s two young ambassadors of standardization, they presented their work to the participants and emphasized the importance of standards in the energy sector, which is an important factor in promoting economic development, sustainability and the everyday functioning of society. Its role goes beyond the basic provision of energy needs, as it has a direct impact on the global economy and the stability of society. At this point, standardization acts as a key factor in achieving high-quality energy infrastructure, and together they form an indispensable duo that enables a safe, secure and sustainable energy supply and stimulates innovation in the search for efficient energy solutions.
However, simply following standards is not enough. Active engagement with the energy sector is also extremely important in the standardization process, as SIST has further emphasized in their discussions with business representatives. Moreover, SIST prepared presentation materials for the participants, a package of standards at a special price, and offered them a 20% discount on the purchase of all standards. To their delight, the participants also received useful gifts, such as portable solar lights.
