CEN Workshop ‘Assessment of biosecurity in Farm to Fork chain

This document will establish a rational basis and gives general guidelines for standardized procedures for assessing the level of biosecurity within various elements of the Farm to Fork chain.

This document will define the biosecurity and risk assessment principles and outlines sampling protocols and details the methodology for measuring various parameters, including microorganisms. To make evaluations possible, procedures for assessment of biosecurity in farm to fork (F2F) establishments must be elaborated.

The procedures shall be based on a risk analysis approach. Risk in F2F settings have specific meaning: this is a combination of the severity of the various biological agents through the transport channels, and the probability assigned to these agents to be transported through the channels.

The kick-off meeting will be held on Thursday, 19 November 2024, from 10:00-13:00 CET as a web meeting.

Requests to participate in the Workshop and/or comments on the project plan are to be submitted by 12 November 2024 to diana.iorga@asro.ro1. You are kindly requested to use the commenting form below.

1 Applications for participating in the Workshop and comments on the project plan that are not received by the deadline do not need to be taken into consideration. Once constituted, the Workshop will decide whether or not to consider the comments received in good time.
