The CEN Workshop on ‘Guidelines and Requirements for Ending Fossil Fuel Use in Supply Chains’ was kicked off on August 8th 2024. The public commenting phase on the draft CWA is now open.
These guidelines target manufacturers, certification bodies, regulatory authorities, environmental groups, and industry associations, promoting fossil fuel-free and sustainable practices across the supply chain. Hydrocarbon based products intended for combustion, such as gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, propane, etc. that cannot be considered fossil free products are excluded from the scope of the workshop. The CWA will define a method of specifying delivery conditions for PVB recyclates and will give the most important characteristics and associated test methods for assessing PVB recyclates intended for use in the production of semi-finished/finished products.
A public commenting phase on the draft CWA is organized for a period of 30 days, closing on 8th December 2024.
Comments can be submitted to the Workshop Secretariat Mr Fabio Rossi (fabio.rossi@uni.com) using the commenting form (available below).
The comments received will be considered by the Workshop participants before its publication.
