New Report from HLF Workstream 5 ‘Greater inclusiveness of civil society and SMEs in international standardisation’

The European Commission still continues to publish new reports from the High-Level Forum on European Standardization’s workstreams. The new report include recommendations on standardization in different fields and how they can support the relevant sectors across Europe.

The High-Level Forum on European Standardization (HLF) was launched in January 2023, connected to the EU Strategy on Standardization. Its goal is to define priorities for standardization, supporting EU legislation and policies and a green, digital and more resilient Single Market. The work is carried out under different workstreams, some of which have already produced reports or recommendations.

The recommendations relate mainly to fostering inclusiveness at national level, facilitation of participation of the Annex III organizations at international standardization activities and making rules for passing the development of harmonized standards to international level.
