Renewing the cooperation agreement between EA and CEN-CENELEC to strengthen the European Market

The European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) and the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) / European Electrotechnical Committee for Standardization (CENELEC) are pleased to announce the renewal of their strategic cooperation agreement. This renewal reaffirms their shared commitment to advancing European standardization and accreditation for the benefit of businesses, regulators, and consumers across the European market.

By working together, the three organizations contribute to enhancing product and service quality, reinforcing consumer confidence, and supporting the competitiveness of European industries on a global scale.

As part of the European Quality Infrastructure, the renewed agreement also paves the way for further collaboration in addressing emerging challenges, including sustainability, digital transformation, and regulatory developments.

The renewal of our agreement with EA builds on our strong partnership and will contribute to the continued strength and consistency of the development and review of standards for accreditation and conformity assessment in support of the EU New Legislative Framework (NLF) and the overall functioning of the European Quality Infrastructure.

The renewal of the cooperation agreement with CEN and CENELEC reinforces our shared commitment to delivering a robust and reliable accreditation and standardization infrastructure that benefits European businesses, consumers and regulators alike.
