Call for Tender for Rapporteurs in the field of 'Cybersecurity'

The Cyber Resilience Act aims to strengthen the EU's cybersecurity by ensuring that digital products and services are secure throughout their lifecycle. It encourages proactive risk management and accountability, empowering businesses, and users to build a safer digital future together. The European Commission has issued a standardisation request to the ESOs for the development of several deliverables to support the implementation of the CRA.

In today’s evolving market, a robust standardization strategy is crucial to address the complexities of advancing cybersecurity technologies. The STAN4CR2 project supports and accelerates EU standardization efforts, fostering collaboration to prevent security incidents and mitigate their impact, including on users' health and safety.

Building on the STAN4CR project, funded by the EC and EFTA, STAN4CR2 ensures coordination between both initiatives. It will focus on developing vertical standards to complement the horizontal standards under WG-9 of the CEN-CENELEC Joint Technical Committee 13 (CEN-CLC/JTC 13) on "Cybersecurity and Data Protection." Given the broad scope and cybersecurity expertise shortage, multiple Technical Groups from CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI will collaborate, with rapporteurs playing a key role in ensuring smooth coordination and communication.

STAN4CR2 will provide essential coordination through CEN, CENELEC, and ETSI, ensuring alignment across horizontal and vertical workstreams. Additionally, stakeholder consultations will foster greater inclusivity, gather diverse feedback, and increase public awareness and engagement in standardization activities.

We are launching an Open call for tender related to the development of some of the required vertical standards. For more details, download here the call for tender.
