On February 18, CEN and CENELEC joined the European Parliament ITRE Working Group on Horizon Europe to discuss the role of standardization in the Framework Programme 10 (FP10).
DIN and UNE highlighted how standards drive research valorization and global competitiveness. We presented the CEN-CENELEC Position Paper on FP10, advocating for stronger integration of standardization in research, capacity-building, and targeted incentives. A key takeaway was that MEP Christian Ehler called for a more strategic EU approach to standardization, proposing its inclusion in the 2026 MFF Budget and a STOA study regarding FP10.
CEN and CENELEC are committed to deepening collaboration with policymakers to ensure standardization is fully embedded in FP10.
