The 2022 ceremony of the annual CEN and CENELEC Standards+Innovation Awards will take place on 3 October. This year marks the fourth edition of the Awards, which were launched in 2019 with the aim of acknowledging the important contribution of research and innovation to standardization.

The call for CEN and CENELEC Members to submit their nominations to the 2022 edition of Standards + Innovation Awards closed on 15 June.
CEN and CENELEC developed a response to the consultation launched by the European Commission on its proposal for the revision of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR). In the document, the two European Standardization Organisations welcome the objective of the proposal to achieve a well-functioning Single Market for construction products, avoid overlap of EU legislation and contribute to the EU objectives of the green and digital transition.
Brussels/Prague – 8 July 2022, At a pivotal time in Europe, CEN, CENELEC and their Czech Member ÚNMZ welcome the opportunity to play a key role in contributing to the priorities of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU. For the next six months, we will work closely with the Presidency to leverage the power of European Standards in the context of a changing Europe.
On 8 July, the Spanish Association for Standardization, UNE, hosted the presentation in Spain of the new European Standardization Strategy, which reinforces the key role of technical standards for a resilient, green and digital single European market, and provides greater support for European strategic autonomy, global leadership and competitiveness.
