At the end of 2022, UNI, the Italian Standardization Institute, published a national standard to help around 360.000 professionals (of whom, 240.000 lawyers and 120.000 accountants) organize their business, manage the risks and turn them into value: UNI 11871.

To gain a better understanding of industry’s needs for standardization deriving from Research & Innovation, the European Commission is planning to launch the first edition of a European Standardization Panel Survey. This survey will complement the recently adopted Code of Practice on standardization in the European Research Area, offering evidence-based results on the role of standardization in support of innovation policies.
On 16 March, the ETUC was invited to present the findings and recommendations from its recent study on ladder safety (2022) at the European Sectoral Social Dialogue Committee for Industrial Cleaning. PKN, the Polish Committee for Standardization, makes every effort to popularize knowledge about standardization among young people. One of its initiatives is the nationwide contest "Standardization and me", which it has organized for 11 years. The contest is addressed to students and teachers from secondary schools. Its purpose is to disseminate knowledge on standardization and on the importance of standards in everyday life.

In its national Standardization Strategy, SIST (the Slovenian Institute for Standardization) set four main goals. One of them is develop new areas of standardization that will support the strategic development of the Republic of Slovenia through the involvement of stakeholders.
