The contribution of ETUC to European standardization in October 2022

Isabelle Schömann, ETUC Confederal Secretary, was invited to speak at the 7th European conference on standardization, testing and certification in the field of occupational safety and health (EUROSHNET), which took place in Paris on 20 October. The Conference was dedicated this year to ‘Artificial Intelligence meets Safety and Health at work’, and Ms. Schömann participated in the roundtable addressing ‘The challenges of AI on standardization, testing and certification’, where she noted that standards are not sufficient to protect workers from the application of AI systems at work.

CEN and CENELEC welcome the political agreement on strengthening the European Standardization System

On 12 October, negotiators from the European Parliament and the Council of the EU struck a political agreement on the Amendment proposed to Regulation 1025/2012, which regulates standardization in Europe. European Standards will make Common Chargers a reality

In-Mould Electronics (IME), also known as plastronics, is used to enhance the device integration process, increasing resistance to humidity and wear and tear, and adding custom-made connectors.
