A new macroeconomic study reveals the substantial benefits of standards in fostering economic growth. Looking at the evidence from six Northern European countries, the study finds that 25 % of labour productivity growth in the past decades is associated with increased standardization as well as 9 % of total exports growth.

On Wednesday 1 March, CEN and CENELEC’s Director General, Elena Santiago Cid, received from the hands of Maive Rute, the European Commission’s Chief Standardization Officer, the new Roadmap on hydrogen standardization. CEN and CENELEC welcome the publication of this important document and are committed to collaborating to the roll out of large-scale hydrogen solutions across the EU.
Brussels, 20 January - On Friday, 20 January, the Presidents of CEN and CENELEC participated in the inaugural meeting of the High-Level Forum on European Standardization. The event was an opportunity to initiate a collective reflection on future standardization priorities in support of European policies and the Single Market.
