CEN and CENELEC welcome the European Wind Power Action Plan, released today 24 October 2023 by the European Commission, and are ready to collaborate towards ensuring that Europe maintains a leadership position in wind energy.

A first edition of the European Standardization Panel Survey (ESPS) was launched on 14 October, on the occasion of World Standards Day. 

With the fast pace of digitalisation in the modern world, a strong EU Single Market is needed to ensure European consumers and businesses can take advantage of new and innovative technologies. The European Standardization System has already started to build the digital future.

Every year, on 14 October the international standardization community celebrates World Standards Day. This event is a means of paying tribute to the collaborative efforts of thousands of experts worldwide whose work contributes to the development of voluntary standards.

The EU Industry Days are Europe’s flagship annual event focusing on key industrial policy discussions, connecting industrial frontrunners, and boosting the knowledge base of European industry. Every year, they provide an opportunity to companies, entrepreneurs, organizations, national ministries, regional authorities and other industrial stakeholders to organise their own sessions as part of the official programme.

The CEN and CENELEC Standards+Innovation Awards acknowledge and celebrate the important contributions of Researchers, Innovators and Entrepreneurs to Standardization. On 26 October, for its fifth edition, we will host the 2023 Awards Ceremony.

Every year, the European Week of Sport promotes more active, healthier lifestyles to millions of people in Europe and beyond.
