The European Standards Organisations, CEN, CENELEC and ETSI, joined forces with ENISA, the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity, to organise its annual conference virtually this year. The event, which took place from 2nd to 4th February 2021, attracted over 2000 participants from the EU and from around the world.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the CEN and CENELEC community took a series of decisive actions in order to contribute to addressing the health crisis. CEN and CENELEC are now happy to share some key take-aways from this experience in the newly released report “Lessons Learned During the COVID-19 Pandemic”.

The CEN Workshop ‘Guidelines for Traditional Micro-SMEs’ GDPR compliance’ was kicked-off on 14 September 2020. The Workshop registered participants have agreed on the final draft of the CWA. A public commenting is organised for a period of 60 days, closing on 28 March 2021 (24:00 CET).

This CEN Workshop plans to develop a European standardization deliverable for COVID-19 health and safety protocols for tourism establishments and services. This work will be carried out as a result of a request received by the European Commission on 10 January 2021.
