Laminated glass is obtained by bonding glass layers using a polymeric interlayer. One polymer used as interlayer is polyvinyl butyral (PVB). Up to now, most of the post-consumer PVB material in laminated glass is incinerated or landfilled, and only 9 % are recycled in secondary uses. Recycling of PVB presents several difficulties related with the contents of glass, humidity, mixing of compositions and polymer optical degradation.
CEN and CENELEC support the objectives of the revision of the safety of toys Directive (2009/48/EC) and the proposal for a safety of toys Regulation (COM (2023)462) to increase children’s safety and improve protection from harmful chemicals.

The 10th edition of the International Smart Utility Week (ISUW) 2024 was held from March 12th to March 16th, 2024, in New Delhi, India. This year’s conference focused on Smart Energy and Smart Mobility. ISUW 2024 featured an extensive program that included plenary sessions, bilateral workshops, keynote addresses, technical sessions, presentations of technical papers, tutorials, and guided technical tours. Bilateral Smart Grid workshops with the European Union, Germany (GIZ) and the United Kingdom (UK Gov.) were some of the highlights from the agenda.

The two committed students of the Faculty of Electrotechnics in Ljubljana are aspiring to become successful engineers and are ready to engage with standards and standardization in their future endeavours.

The aim is to facilitate the implementation of sustainability reporting requirements for European businesses.
