On 7 October 2024, CEN and CENELEC co-hosted an extraordinary event on Workstream 9 of the High-Level Forum on Standardization (HLF), dedicated to Green Electricity Systems. The event was co-organized together with T&D Europe, VDE and GIMELEC, and took place at the CEN and CENELEC Management Centre in Brussels. Twenty-one stakeholders from the diverse EU electrical ecosystem participated and gave an overview of the discussions they had during the WS9 sessions.
The European Commission continues to publish new reports from the High-Level Forum on European Standardization’s workstreams. The new reports include recommendations on standardization in different fields and how they can support the relevant sectors across Europe.
The European Commission, together with the members of the High-Level Forum on European Standardization (HLF), consider Quantum as a priority policy. Therefore, they decided to give this topic a separate space for political and technical discussions in the framework of the newly opened Workstream 16.
The European Commission published three reports from the High-Level Forum on European Standardization’s workstreams: Workstream 7 on Wind Power, Workstream 14 on Data Interoperability, and Workstream 15 on Critical Raw Materials. The three reports include recommendations on standardization in the three different fields and how they can support the relevant sectors across Europe.
Brussels welcomed the second meeting of the European Commission’s High-Level Forum on European Standardization (HLF) on 30 November 2023. The gathering brought together high level representatives of government with c-level leaders throughout industry to discuss the future of European standardization.
Brussels, 20 January - On Friday, 20 January, the Presidents of CEN and CENELEC participated in the inaugural meeting of the High-Level Forum on European Standardization. The event was an opportunity to initiate a collective reflection on future standardization priorities in support of European policies and the Single Market.
