Eurocodes gain momentum in ASEAN as Cambodian standard body signs License Agreement

CEN and the Institute of Standards of Cambodia (ISC) signed a License Agreement in May 2026 covering the adoption of more than 50 Eurocodes. The national adoption process is expected to be completed by June 2027.

CEN-CLC/JTC 25 and SAC/TC 609 exchange on data standardization

A joint online technical exchange between CEN-CLC/JTC 25 'Data management, Dataspaces, Cloud and Edge' and SAC/TC 609 'Data' took place on 20 March. The meeting brought together the leadership of both technical committees, with the participation of CCMC and SESEC expert Dr. Betty Xu, who also contributed to facilitating the discussions.

CENELEC establishes closer links with the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee (JISC)

On 4 February 2026, the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC) and the Japanese Industrial Standards Committee (JISC ) signed an agreement to increase their alignment on key standardization topics. JISC will now become a CENELEC Companion Standardization Body (CSB).
