On Tuesday, March 4, a meeting of the technical committee SIST/TC UMI, dedicated to Artificial Intelligence, was held at the Slovenian Institute for Standardization. Aleksander Velkavrh, a young Standardization Ambassador and a student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, as well as Bojana Bogičević, a participant of the Autumn School of Standardization and also a student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, joined the meeting. Both had the opportunity to learn about the process of reviewing and adopting standards at the national level.
At the 2nd Autumn School, held on November 13 and 14, 2024, SIST selected two new ambassadors of standardization from among 60 participants. Eva Pevec from the Faculty of Economics and Aleksander Velkavrh from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering have joined Hana and Erik, expanding the SIST family of young ambassadors to now include four members.
This year’s Autumn School of Standardization, held on 13-14 November 2024 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana, once again confirmed the growing interest in standardization among young people and companies in Slovenia. The event attracted as many as 50 students from various faculties, with the majority coming from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering, and the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology. The enthusiasm for the topic of standardization, which paves the way for quality, safety, and efficiency, was truly remarkable.
