Every year, the European Week of Sport promotes more active, healthier lifestyles to millions of people in Europe and beyond. All the initiatives in 2023 focus on three important pillars of sport, which also reflect the changes and directions our societies are going towards. These pillars are called ‘the 3 Is’: involvement, inclusion, and innovation.
From 23 to 30 September 2021, Europe celebrates the European Week of Sports. This year's theme highlights the power of physical activity to bring joy, build resilience and connect generations.
The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) is proud to announce the publication of EN 17444 “Doping prevention in sport - Good development and manufacturing practices aimed at preventing the presence of prohibited substances in food intended for sportspeople and food supplements”.
Europe, like other parts of the world, has been hit hard by the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. In this context, CEN is preparing a new document presenting guidelines and recommendations for the safe operation and management of fitness centers during an infectious outbreak – now and during future pandemics.
